Hi Isabel,
Well, the thing I’ve read in more than 2 books is that you should be able to feel 10 movements in the space of an hour. If you don’t, they say to drink some OJ and try again. Mostly you’ll find that you can count to 10 in much less time than 1 hour, especially if you do it at a time of day when you normally get lots of kicking. I find this is best after dinner in the evening, when you’re suddenly still after having moved around all day, and the baby wakes up.

everybaby is different but they say you should feel the baby movin at least 10times a day and if not then to contact your midwife to get checked out. i couldnt feel my baby for 4 days (no one told me i should be feelin it 10times a day) it turns out he had just turned to face my back so he was movin away but i couldnt feel him! hes turned back round now tho and is makin up for the time i couldnt feel it.

For everybody is different, for me my son was kicking about 10 times in 15 minutes, some other days he will do 10 in 50 minutes. Now, if you have tried the juice, lying on your left side or things that would usually make him/her move [ for me was lotion], then talk to your doctor about your concerns.

I too stressed out about my baby’s movements when I pregnant with my daughter. Some babies are more active than others. I have found with my 2nd pregnancy my baby doesn’t kick as much. I wouldn’t worry unless you weren’t feeling any kicks at all. I don’t think there is really a average kicking guide to go by as all pregnancies are different… well my sure have been!
Good luck with your bub boy!!
